The Coconut Lagoon in Kenilworth was Britain’s first South Indian restaurant which brought the truly outstanding and varied cuisines of Kerala, Goa, Coconut Lagoon RestaurantKarnataka and Andhra Pradesh under one roof. The cuisines of these places are a legacy of the melting pot of historic European influences of the Portugese, French, Dutch and British.
The first Coconut Lagoon Restaurant opened in Kenilworth in 1998. Within 18 months it achieved the distinction of becoming one of the top 100 restaurants in the UK (Pat Chapman’s Good Curry Guide). There is also a sister restaurant in Stratford upon Avon.
