The Making of England... Grand Elizabethan Pageant

Tread the footsteps of a queen this May Day Bank Holiday and relive the sights, sounds and smells of Elizabethan England. To mark the official launch of the authentically recreated Tudor garden the Castle is holding a Grand Elizabethan Pageant.

Come and join in this spectacular event which brings to life some of the celebrations that would have taken place during Elizabeth's last visit to the castle in 1575. Witness the impressive skills of the queen’s archers or be amazed at breathtaking flying displays from hawks and falcons. Or why not brush up on your Elizabethan manners with lessons in Tudor etiquette before meeting the queen herself?

So visit Kenilworth Castle this weekend and be entertained with falconry demonstrations, plays, music and courtly chivalry and catch a glimpse of Queen Elizabeth herself as she inspects her new garden!
