Come along to Kenilworth Castle and get hands-on with history as we explore different periods of English history in this interactive day out for all the family.

Time Travellers Go…Cavalliers and Roundheads

Pikes at the ready! Join Oliver Cromwell’s army and discover what it took to be a soldier of the English Civil War. Then test your agility in the children’s battle and learn to use a pike in our soldiers’ drill.

Knight School for Dads!

This Father’s Day at Kenilworth Castle, Dads and children can become knights for the day and hone their skills for the medieval battlefield in front of a watchful master tutor.

A Grand Medievel Joust

A magnificent medieval joust where fighting knights do battle in a live action show. Revel in the drama of clashing knights on horseback and cheer on your favourite. Be entertained by the court jester for plenty of laughs too. Let the battle commence!

Time Travellers Go…Archaeology

Let the kids get stuck into history with the chance to uncover clues, take part in an archaeology trail and handle real artefacts.

Give that toy sword a whirl or put on your prettiest dress and head back in time for activities on a medieval theme. Transform yourself into a noble lord in squire training, and even try on armour in our academy for budding knights and princesses.

Could you be a fearsome highwayman? Your training starts here! Take part in a thrilling musket drill, listen to the myths and legends surrounding our favourite rogues and plan your own ambush.

How would you have fared 500 years ago? Take a trip back to medieval times to find out, with plenty of fun hands-on activities and games.

Could you be a brave Norman knight or bold Saxon warrior? Prepare for action by painting your own shield, then take part in a Kids Battle of Hastings or the thrilling naval battle!

Experience the atmosphere and drama of Kenilworth Castle under Norman attack. Witness the opposing forces prepare for battle, with encampments outside and inside the castle, armour displays and an awe inspiring trebuchet in action
