St Nicholas’ Church
St Nicholas’ Church is situated in High Street, and looks out over Abbey Fields. The exact date of its founding isn’t known, but by 1291 it was in the patronage of the Priory of Kenilworth.
The magnificently decorated Norman Porch at the western entrance of St Nicholas Church was removed from the Abbey ruins by Robert Dudley as part of the repairs to the Church.
Queen Elizabeth I is reputed to have visited the church on at least two occasions.
