The annual Bonfire Extravaganza at Kenilworth Castle is Kenilworth Round Table’s main public event of the year.
This event has grown over many years to its current position as the premier firework display in the region, attracting people to Kenilworth from all over the county. Not only is this great for promoting the town, it also allows the Round Table to raise money for a wide range of local causes.

Halloween Fright Nights
Join us on an eerie evening after-hours, meet our spine-tingling storytellers and discover tales of ghostly apparitions, dastardly deeds, and ghoulish goings-on as you explore. Experience the night-time surroundings of this ancient castle, travel back to a time when gruesome goings-on were commonplace, and maybe even encounter some of the past residents who refuse to leave. Not for the faint hearted!
Please note: It is recommended that children aged 5-10 years attend between 6pm – 7pm. After 7pm we recommend that people with a nervous disposition and children under 10 years of age do not attend.

Free Guided Walk of Kenilworth St. Mary’s Abbey ruins – Sunday 31st July – 3pm
Kenilworth History & Archaeology Society will be hosting a free guided walk of Kenilworth St. Mary’s Abbey ruins on Sunday 31st July 2016 in support of the annual Festival of Archaeology.
Meet at the Abbey ‘Barn’ Museum & Heritage Centre, Abbey Fields, Kenilworth for a 3 pm start. All welcome. A fantastic opportunity to learn more about one of Kenilworth’s most well known landmarks.
SewArty get Crafty for the Women’s Tour
Staff and friends of SewArty, the Arts and Crafts supply store in Kenilworth, have been taking part in craft sessions to create some special bunting to celebrate the Aviva Women’s Tour coming to Kenilworth.
The bunting, which features the famous yellow jersey worn by the race leader, was made at two workshops which were held at SewArty’s new premises at 67 Station Road (having recently relocated from 5 Station Road). The bunting will decorate the stalls at Kenilworth’s weekly market on Thursday which will feature additional sports-themed stalls to coincide with the Women’s Tour.
Paul Garrison, Business Support and Events Officer with Warwick District Council said; “Thank you to Di, Leanne and everyone SewArty for helping out with our Women’s Tour decorations and celebrations. We wish them every success in their shop”.
The Aviva Women’s Tour is Britain’s biggest professional women’s cycle race. The race arrives in Kenilworth just after 10.45am on Thursday 16th June as it travels from Atherstone to Stratford-on-Avon during stage 2 of this year’s Tour.

World class sport comes to Kenilworth on Thursday 16th June as stage 2 of the Aviva Women’s Tour passes through the town centre.
The tour is expected to arrive in Kenilworth around 10.45am but spectators are encourages to arrive as early as possible to avoid traffic and to get yourself the best spot to watch from. Soak up the atmosphere, cheer on the cyclists and enjoy Kenilworth’s Thursday market which will have a variety of sporting-themed stalls alongside all the usual favourites.
