Priors Field School is situated on the north-western
outskirts of the historic town of
Kenilworth, adjoining open countryside and in close
proximity to Kenilworth Castle. The school moved to
the present site in 1976 having
been opened in 1965 in School Lane. The school benefits
from 12 acres of playing fields and grounds which are
crossed by a
pleasant stream and mature hedgerows, making the school
environment a haven for wildlife.
Priors Field is a 4-11 Years (Reception - Year 6) Primary
School, having been, until 1996, a
Combined First and Middle School (4-12 years). The
school is County Maintained, being part of
Warwickshire Local Education
Authority (LEA). It has no religious affiliation, and is
co-educational and comprehensive,
having mixed ability classes throughout the school.
We are very fortunate to have excellent playing
fields, landscaped gardens and an adventure playground for
the children to use.
As you enter the school building itself you will see the
incredible standard of our art work displayed all over the
school, work that has been exhibited in local galleries,
theatres and museums and has been part of our submission for
the prestigious gold Arts mark award. Imaginative displays
that represent the full breadth and quality of our
curriculum are high profile across the school and provide a
wonderful showcase for our children’s achievement.
The learning environment enjoyed by our children reflects
the ethos of the school as a place where children have a
desire to learn more and have acquired the skills to do so!
