Staff and friends of SewArty, the Arts and Crafts supply store in Kenilworth, have been taking part in craft sessions to create some special bunting to celebrate the Aviva Women’s Tour coming to Kenilworth.

The bunting, which features the famous yellow jersey worn by the race leader, was made at two workshops which were held at SewArty’s new premises at 67 Station Road (having recently relocated from 5 Station Road). The bunting will decorate the stalls at Kenilworth’s weekly market on Thursday which will feature additional sports-themed stalls to coincide with the Women’s Tour.

Paul Garrison, Business Support and Events Officer with Warwick District Council said; “Thank you to Di, Leanne and everyone SewArty for helping out with our Women’s Tour decorations and celebrations. We wish them every success in their shop”.

The Aviva Women’s Tour is Britain’s biggest professional women’s cycle race. The race arrives in Kenilworth just after 10.45am on Thursday 16th June as it travels from Atherstone to Stratford-on-Avon during stage 2 of this year’s Tour.
