Description:
Gastro pub with bar

Type of food served:
Gastropub.

The Almanack is a modern British gastropub in the heart of Kenilworth, between Abbey Fields & Warwick Road.  The Almanack serves high quality fresh seasonal food & great beers, wines & spirits all at pub prices.  Open all day, seven days a week, serving breakfast, coffee & cake, lunch, drinks & dinner, we aim to be Kenilworth’s favourite “local”.

The look may be fresh but the service is old-fashioned.  The Almanack belongs to the people behind The Rose & Crown in Warwick.  The aim is to provide great food & friendly, relaxed but professional service.

When you visit, you’ll find our entrance leads into a comfortable bar & lounge furnished with vintage armchairs and sofas.  We also have a lovely big island bar where you can drink, chat & watch the world go by as well as a glamorous dining room with views of the open kitchen.  There’s even a private dining room for up to twenty four people.

We take huge pride in serving the best ingredients we can find, from ethical producers, freshly prepared by our team of chefs.  Head chef Corin Earland is currently dishing up a menu filled with the best ingredients available for autumn and winter, British wherever possible, to offer great quality and value.

Whether you drop in for a coffee (served with free toast in the mornings!), a pint, a business lunch, to work on your laptop with free Wi-Fi in comfortable friendly surroundings, or for dinner with friends we promise you a hospitable welcome.  All day long.

Autumn News from The Almanack in Kenilworth!  Here are the highlights!

Almanack wins a Godiva!

We’re delighted to have won a Godiva award for Best Customer Service at this year’s awards, beating off stiff competition from other great places in the area!

The Almanack was singled out for its great customer service by winning the award so many want to win.  The Godivas recognise the top attractions, businesses and theatres in the region and the people who run them.

“It’s a really big thing for us to have won the award, and a brilliant way to celebrate our first year in business,” says Jeremy Kynaston, who runs The Almanack. “Winning is great recognition for all the hard work from everyone on the team and for everything we’ve achieved in our first year.  We’ve all done the best we can to offer great service to all of our guests, and it’s fantastic to have that officially recognised. We’re looking forward to being able to give a great Almanack welcome to even more people in future!”

Christmas is coming

Don’t panic if you haven’t booked your Christmas party or family get-together - you can have it at ours!

Whether you’re looking to relax with friends, have a festive celebration with family or enjoy a meal with colleagues, come and talk to us.  As well as a lovely modern eatery serving delicious food, we’ve also got a stunning private dining room which seats 30 comfortably - it’s got etched glass doors which slide closed for privacy or open so you don’t feel cut off from the rest of the action.  It’s the perfect setting for a really memorable Christmas celebration.

Head chef Corin Earland has created a wonderful array of delicious dishes on the Christmas menu, each using the best, seasonal ingredients he can buy, with a choice of traditional festive favourites and something just that bit different.  Try curried parsnip soup with croûtons and parsnip crisps or free-range game pâté with homemade apple chutney and Melba toast to start, followed by main of Aberdeenshire beef bourguignon with creamy mash or free-range Pancetta-wrapped turkey escalope with pork and cranberry stuffing, roast potatoes, chipolatas and gravy.  Don’t forget to leave room for one of the Almanack’s delectable puddings - traditional Christmas pudding and brandy sauce or date and pinenut stuffed Bramley apple with toffee sauce and pouring cream - there truly is something to tempt everyone.

The Almanack’s Christmas menu is served from Tuesday 1st December to Thursday 24th December.  Have a look at the website for more information or give us a call and we’ll talk you through the options.  Oh, and you can also enjoy a glass of perfectly chilled prosecco on us if you book for between 6-7pm and eat from the Christmas menu.
