Kenilworth Afternoon Townswomen’s Guild
The Townswomen’s Guild is a national women’s organisation, second only to the W.I. in size, and the objects of the organisation are “to advance the education of women, irrespective of race, creed and party so as to enable them to make the best contribution towards the common good.”
We have a speaker at approximately 9 out of our 12 meetings a year and the meetings without a speaker are social occasions, e.g. the Christmas Party in December, or a cheese and wine evening.
Our members share in craft meetings, nature walks, games evenings, book evenings, and we enjoy outings to places of interest, theatres, etc..
Each Guild is a registered charity and we have fundraising events throughout the year, most often in members’ homes, and we have at least one fundraiser annually which is open to the general public.
