The Kenilworth Civic Society

The Kenilworth Civic Society

The Kenilworth Society was formed in May 1961 as a result of concerns about the destruction of a group of 17th century listed cottages, adjacent to the Finham Brook in Bridge Street, also controversial plans for traffic management in The Square and Abbey End of the town centre.
The main objects of the Society are formulated in our constitution and include ·

“To stimulate public consciousness and appreciation of the beauty and character of the neighbourhood and its surroundings”.

We encourage the preservation, development, and improvement ,of the amenities and features which go to  make pleasing and convenient, conditions in which to live and work.

The Society changed its name to the Kenilworth Civic Society in 2013 to reflect the nature of the Society.
