Admin Support Team
Maggie Field is the Town Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer. She has been in post since 2015 and previously occupied the role of Deputy Town Clerk. Prior to joining the Town Council, Maggie spent over 20 years working in the Public Sector in London and Warwickshire, including roles of Business Manager for HMCTS and Caseworker at the Serious Fraud Office.
As Town Clerk, Maggie has a key role in advising the council, and its members, on governance, ethical and procedural matters and is responsible for implementing Council policy. Maggie prepares and posts notices, is responsible for writing the agenda and minutes, keeps the council’s records, deals with correspondence, and issues the precept.
As Responsible Financial Officer, Maggie oversees the proper administration of the Council’s financial affairs, setting and monitoring compliance with financial management standards, providing financial information and preparing the budget.
Maggie enjoys the variety of the role and working alongside a fantastic team!

Deputy Town Clerk
Neil Eaton is the Deputy Town Clerk. He has worked for Kenilworth Town Council since 2015, and has a wealth of Council experience, having worked for Coventry City Council for 38 years in various roles as an Environmental Health Officer.
Neil has special responsibility for the throughput of Planning work in the Town Council office, and has also been closely involved in assisting Members with the drafting of the Neighbourhood Plan. Neil also looks after Procurement for the Office and liaises closely with suppliers.
Neil makes regular checks of facilities around the Town and is sometimes assisted on inspections by his Springer Spaniel Barney!

Maureen Berry is the Mayor’s Secretary. She has worked for Kenilworth Town Council for 34 years, holding the positions of Gatehouse Keeper at the Castle, and Accounts Clerk and has been in her current role since 1990.
The Mayor’s Secretary looks after all the Mayoral Engagements and co-ordinates the Mayoral Diary. If you would like to invite the Mayor to an event, please contact Maureen at Mayorsec@kenilworth.org. If the Mayor is unable to attend your event, it may be possible for the Deputy Mayor to attend in her place. Maureen can also help with information on protocol when having the Mayor or her deputy attend your event.
Maureen also administers the Castle Pass scheme, and if you have a query with your application or eligibility, or would like to arrange to collect your pass in person- just ask.
Maureen loves animals and top of her bucket list is to meet Professor Noel Fitzpatrick!
